Ingredients: Assam, Ginger, Black Pepper, Star Anise, Cardamon, Cinnamon, Cloves, Mace, Nutmeg
According to history, chai was once served only to the great ancient kings of India and the recipe closely guarded as a national secret. It was said to help fuel their ambition and momentum during conquests by strengthening the body and mind from within, allowing enough vigor to resist the invasion of Genghis Khan. Since then, chai has long been used to heal ailments and promote life force by increasing circulation in the system, invigorating health and energy.
This authentic blend uses a traditional recipe with a base of crushed Assam for robust strength and 8 energizing spices for complexity. Thin layers of real cinnamon bark are combined with star anise to sweeten while nutmeg imparts the earthy flavour of ground nuts. Ginger encourages vitality, while black pepper provides a warming effect, and is used in conjunction with cooling cardamom for balance. Cloves impart a depth to complement the creaminess of milk, and mace is added to give the brew a beautiful, rich colour. Heighten your energy to this spicy and addictive Masala Chai.
Masala chai is recommended to be brewed with at least 50% milk (or alternative). This will ensure that along with spices, you actually taste the tea component.
This tea comes in a reusable canister 100g of Loose Leaf Chai Tea.
