Butterfly pea flowers are rich in anthocyanin compounds called ternatins, which give the plant its vibrant natural blue hue. When added with a dash of lemon, the colour turns from blue to purple.
The earthy flavour of butterfly-pea flower tea is a mood enhancer as it contains properties that has a calming effect on your mind, body and soul. It is also known to bolster energy levels and and influence positive emotions.

Brewing Moon Milk
In a tea pot add 1 tablespoon of Moon Milk tea and 1 Tablespoon of freshly grated ginger root. Add 125 ml of hot water at 100 degree for 2 mins. Add 125ml of oat milk and 1 teaspoon of honey. Stir, strain and serve.
Brewing Without Milk
Add 6 butterfly pea flower to 250ml water at 100 degree. Let it brew for 1 min. Add a dash of lemon to change colour from blue to purple. You can mix in your favourite Altitude Tea into this brew to give it some flavour. We recommend mixing it with Altitude Green.
