Week 1: Understanding the Essence of Tea and The Ritual of Preparation

Week 2: The Art of Tea Brewing and Mastering the Pouring Technique

• Understanding water temperature and its impact on tea flavour
• Exploring different brewing methods: traditional vs. modern
• Hands-on experience in brewing various types of tea
• Tasting and discussing the nuances of different brews
• Pouring tea with grace and precision
• Understanding the significance of the pour in tea ceremony
• Practice sessions focusing on smooth pouring movements
• Feedback and refinement of pouring technique

Week 3: Cultivating Presence and Mindfulness

• The role of mindfulness in tea ceremony
• Techniques for cultivating presence and focus
• Mindful tea drinking practice
• Discussion on the connection between tea and meditation

Week 4: Hosting Your Own Tea Ceremony

• Planning and preparing for a tea gathering
• Inviting guests and setting the ambiance
• Leading a tea ceremony session from start to finish
• Reflections and sharing experiences from the course

Each weekly session will include a mix of theoretical knowledge, practical demonstrations, hands-on activities, and group discussions. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with the materials, practice the techniques, and develop a deeper appreciation for the art of tea ceremony.

The course sessions will take place via Zoom for 4 weeks on Saturday/Sunday.

The total cost for the course is $1,495 covering:

• 4 hours of comprehensive training spread across a 4-week period.
• A complete Tea Ceremony Kit.
• A selection of three Altitude Teas.

Upon completion of the course, you’ll possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and equipment to confidently host your own tea ceremony gatherings.
